About the job
Business Unit SET is responsible for the sale of high speed separator (HSS) and Decanter (NX) systems to the Food and Pharma markets. In this role, you work on a global basis and support our market in LATAM with product and application expertise. You perform joint customer visits with the local sales teams and oversee the sales process from opportunity to order closure.

The position is located in Flemingsberg and requires regular traveling, around 70 - 100 days per year.

Curiosity, drive and a customer-oriented mentality are a prerequisite for this position. The market is constantly changing, and you adapt accordingly. Prompt action to address quotation requests, special customer needs, or unforeseen challenges are vital to secure our leading position in the market.

You are our customers' voice centrally and a reliable support to our local sales teams. You interact comfortably on all levels of an organization both internally and externally. You respond to customer needs with technical solutions and follow through on our strategies to achieve growth targets. Knowledge-sharing is vital to secure the best possible quality in our offering.

You deliver on time and strive to exceed expectations. You develop yourself, Alfa Laval's offering and business to continuously add value to our customers.

Who you are?
We are looking for a person with a strong technical and commercial interest. Most of our customers are engineers with deep and broad technical knowledge, located in Hispanic America and Brazil regions, therefore experience in separation systems is highly desired; alternatively, oil and/or animal byproducts processes. It is a requirement that you are proficient in Spanish or Portuguese, additionally to English. Previous hands-on technical experience is an asset.

You have analytical skills and a creative mind. You take own initiatives and motivate others, and you are honest and have a positive approach. You should hold a Master or Bachelor's degree in business or engineering.

About the Role

We're seeking a dedicated Automation Solutions Team Manager for our Flemingsberg site, a key part of our Automation Solutions Team. This role also offers a unique opportunity to coordinate Technical Product Management responsibilities for digital products, addressing a clear need to succeed in the new organizational set up.



Key Responsibilities

Manage, inspire, and develop a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the right competencies are in place.
*

Coordinate the maintenance and improvement of digital products within BU SET, aligning the complex day-to-day work and collaboration with R&D, AD and Service.
*

Ensure that the right demands on our platforms are set in close collaboration with Product Management and securing our deliveries in committed projects.
*

Champion a culture of quality throughout the organization.
*

Working close together with the Team Manager in Copenhagen to foster synergies and achieve joint deliveries.
*

Shape this new role and evolve within the responsibilities.



This role is a member of the Management Team for Smart Separation Systems, with a functional reporting line to Team Manager in Copenhagen.



Who You Are

Hold a degree in engineering and possess relevant experience.
*

Experienced in leading technical teams, preferably within automation, digital or applied research.
*

Knowledge about our products
*

Strong communicator with a passion for driving quality and innovation.
*

Ready to oversee and coordinate work for digital products.
*

Knowledge about our existing portfolio of digital products and experience in working with them is an advantage
*

Proficient in English, proficiency in Swedish or Danish is an advantage.

The heart and muscles of the wingsail is the hydraulic system, consisting of a large main hydraulic power unit, a smaller backup power unit, hydraulic cylinders and hydraulic motors for the three main actuations of the wing. The project is in a very interesting phase where we are testing the first version of the hydraulic system at our test site in Landskrona.




What will you do?
Your responsibilities will include:

*

Hydraulic system design and creating hydraulic schematic diagrams.

*

Selection of hydraulic components as valves, pumps, filters, pipes.

*

Hands on testing of the hydraulic system, including hydraulic measurement systems and analysis of the test results.

*

Assuring hydraulic system safety and assess risks related to the hydraulic system.

*

Testing and commissioning of the systems onboard vessels.

*

Define requirements, concepts and solutions for new generations of the wing actuation system.

*

Technical interface towards suppliers.

*

Support with regulatory submissions and hydraulic system documentation.




Who are you?
To succeed in this role, you should have:

At least a bachelor's degree in hydraulics, mechanical or mechatronics engineering, or equivalent engineering degree.

*

Either a record of courses in hydraulic system design or equivalent work experience.

*

You are self-going and self-motivated.

*

Strong team player, you thrive working together with other people and competences in reaching a common goal and contribute to sustainable shipping.



In addition, it is beneficial to have experience in one or several of the following:

Practical experience from hydraulic installation work.

*

Experience of hydraulic testing, test tools and analysis of measurement results.

Experience of control system design, sensor selection, electrical installation, etc.

*

System modeling and simulation in Matlab/Simulink.

Working experience within the marine industry and DNV regulations.



Regular travel to our test site in Landskrona is expected, as well as spending time with testing and commissioning onboard oceangoing ships.
